Graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and Les Gobelins,  I blend technical, artistic and scientific expertise. Using this dual background combined with my experiences in Computer Graphics, 3D pipeline development, IA and animation studio production, I aim to adress complex technical challenges in the animation industry.

SUPERPROD Innovation Pipeline Developer

Ap 2023 - Today

Working on SUPERPROD's feature film and series pipeline: 

  • Machine-learning based automatic lipsync tool in 3D (Maya) and 2D (Harmony).

  • Crowd pipeline R&D in houdini and USD based. Testing of maya rigging and animation to houdini crowd workflow. Animation, Simulation, post-simulation tweaking, exporting and rendering crowds.

  • Working on other features based of the principle of crowd rig and post-animation in houdini.

Freelance 3D Artist and TD

Nov 2021 - Today

I often work as freelance 3D artist and tech-artist. Using my experience in character animation and tech-anim I carried out different missions for various companies using softwares like Maya and Blender:

  • Proof of concept of motion-capture integration in an already existing maya animation pipeline. Rigging compatibility, video motion-capture benchmark and integration in the maya pipeline for post-anim and animation combination. 

  • Directing (storyboard, animatic, modeling, animation and editing) of an advertisement video for data-science company Opensee

  • Creation of looping wave animation for website background

  • Video coverage of events and editing

Ubisoft Tech-Anim Intern

Working in the tech-art departement of Ubisoft Annecy on Riders Republic, I got involved in different subjects in relation to character animation and the character animation pipeline:

  • Scripting tools for animation and retargeting in Motion-Builder

  • Motion capture quality tests and Xsens pipeline improvements 

  • Animation graph set-up

Mocaplab Research Intern

5 month research project, I developped a tool (using Python) in Motion-Builder to automate retargeting contacts between hands and face.

President of Polytechnique's movie making club

Nov 2019 - Jan 2021

The student movie making club of Polytechnique covers university events, edits communication videos, creates short films and organizes university wide projections of humoristic creations. I handeled the budget for this 18 person club, for paid freelance missions and the school events video coverage organization.

I decided to do my last year of Polytechnique (M2) in partnership with Telecom Paris, and Université Paris Saclay (IPParis) to focus on computer graphics. Studying advanced topics of design and research in computer animation it was a great opportunity to work on different projects:​

  • Unity procedural world and crowd simulation

  • Sketch-based modeling

  • Qt C++ Application

  • VR Applications

Between M1 and M2, I decided to take a gap year to deep dive into animation. I graduaded from the 3D Character Animation course of Les Gobelins. It was a fantastic experience to understand keyframe animation. Studying staging, posing and all the different steps of animating a character by hand really opened my eyes on the work of animator and the tools they need.

I mostly worked with existing Maya rigs but also built my own ones and animated in Blender.

After french "Classe Preparatoires" I had the opportunity to complete my engineer degree at Ecole Polytechnique, one of the most selective french "Grandes Ecoles". There I studied generalist engineer topics (Math, Physics, Informatics, Mecanics, Biology) and specialized myself in Image, Vision and Learning in 3rd year with courses of Computer Vision, Machine Learning and Computer Graphics.

I practiced a lot of coding in Java, C++, Python and more.
